Bingley Belles sign the Plastic Free Pledge

We are pleased to announce that as a club we have signed the Surfers Against Sewage Plastic Free Pledge.

We would like to encourage our members to consider where possible reducing and replacing their single-use plastics with a more sustainable option.

We don’t think this should be onerous.

In our everyday lives, examples of single-use plastics include plastic straws, carrier bags, takeaway coffee cups etc.

As cyclists, one of the obvious swaps we can make is by using refillable water bottles.

You might also want to consider carrying a refillable coffee cup for any takeaway cuppas… sometimes bringing your own cup means you get a discount too, so a win-win!
