June 22 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
What is the Belles Bounty Hunt?
The event will involve cycling to predetermined destinations in pairs or small groups to collect as many destinations as you canIn pairs or small groups you will receive a map with a list of destinations across the district.
You then choose which destinations you would like to visit and plot your own route with the aim of completing a challenge.
You collect a destination by arriving and taking a selfie to prove you have been there.
Destinations vary from those along the canal, some a little further afield and others across the district.
This will allow you to plot routes that reflect a 1 cake, 2 cake or 3 cake challenge.
You can decide beforehand who you will pair up with or ride as a small group. Or you can turn up on the day and join a ride leaders group and plan / plot a challenge together.
At the end of the day awards will be given to those who completed a challenge.
You can enter more than one challenge if you feel you have met the criteria.
The event will begin and finish in Myrtle Park. Start time is between 10am – 10.30am.
Registration will begin at 9.45am.
You must return to the finish before 3pm to claim your completed challenge.
The challenges are:
- Ride to as many cafes as possible (no obligation to buy anything!).
- Ride the furthest between at least three destinations of your choice.
- Ride the shortest distance and visit the most destinations.
- Ride to the most off road destinations Ride the longest, flattest route and visit at least three destinations
- Ride with the most elevation visiting at least three destinations.
Some of these challenges (longest, most elevation etc.) will require you to track your ride using an App like Strava, Komoot, Ride with GPS etc. Want to find out more then you can join our navigation sessions.
How do I sign up?
Reply to the email you’ve received and we will add you to the WhatsApp group.
The group will be used for any pre-event questions and queries; as an opportunity for people to pair up or join small groups and where you can post your pictures from the event.
We would like to use this event as an opportunity to raise funds for Candlelighters, our dedicated charity for 2025/6 and so are asking people to make a donation of at least £5 to enter.
This is a voluntary donation. Please make your donation here.
Volunteers
We are also looking for volunteers to help take a shift under the Bingley Belles Gazebo throughout the day. This will be to help with registering participants, being there to welcome people as a pit stop mid ride or back after their rides and supervise the provision of lots of goodies, cakes, biscuits, sweets etc (like a feed station). If you can help, again please email us.
Navigation sessions
Don’t forget we are putting on three different navigation sessions to support you with this event and how to use maps and plot a route. If you haven’t yet and want to join one of the sessions they can be found here: Navigation
