After many changes and much tearing out of hair, eleven Belles gathered in the hope of gaining or renewing essential First Aid certificates which for several, were about to expire.
We covered a lot and also learnt a lot from the Q&As bandied about. Chris from CLX First Aid was very patient and took our banter in good part. He skilfully guided us through Assessing and Dealing with various situations and included hands-on CPR and the use of a defibrillator. His Powerpont presentation included several slides of a cute little lamb. We soon cottoned on that they signalled something rather gory coming next.
What a day we had. I don’t remember literally rolling on the floor laughing so much for a long time. My hope is that all those laughs and giggles will help the advice and instructions we were trying to follow, to stick and make me able to deal with incidents which may arise in the future.
